I took up yoga in 2016 taking a 6 week starter course in Ashtanga. I was immediately hooked and spent the next 5 years practicing Ashtanga, Seasonal Hatha Yoga and Yoga Nidra.
In August 2021 I qualified as a 200hr RYT in Seasonal Hatha Yoga. In August 2022 I completed a 50hr Yin YTT with Seasonal Yoga Edinburgh.
I am currently completing and additional 300hr Advanced Teacher Training course with Seasonal Yoga Edinburgh.
I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance and I'm fully insured.
I am passionate about quietening the mind and working with breath to help students deal with the always-on world, taking a particular interest in trauma informed yoga.
My classes are mostly an hour long and are generally suitable for starters, beginners and intermediates. I also run 4 week blocks for total beginners to come along and try out yoga.
I also teach Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra. This means that you get a chance to stop and disconnect from all the nonsense of everyday life and enjoy a bit of me time with like minded people with a little bit of fun chucked in for good measure. We don't take it too seriously, but importantly, we still honour the practice.
"Gimmie Yoga" is my brand name.

Seasonal Yoga is a style of dynamic Yoga which is designed to align you with the changing energies of nature and the seasons
It's a practice that improves physical strength and flexibility and brings balance and harmony to your life. The concept was created in 1995 by Julie Hanson and Sue Woodd as an antidote to the stress and anxiety of modern life.
It combines Hatha Yoga, Tai Chi, Chi Kung, and a modern understanding about body movement, with Traditional Chinese Medicine ideas about the changing nature of the seasons around us, and within.
Delighted to be working as an affiliate with local Edinburgh based Ekotex. I have used their yoga mats since my yoga day 1.
